The {{CoverGrid}} directive renders a responsive grid of issue covers that link directly to individual issue articles.

Syntax

List one issue article URL slug per line:

{{CoverGrid
wired-issue-1
wired-issue-2
wired-issue-3
wired-issue-4
wired-issue-5
}}

How It Works

  1. Issue Resolution: The grid looks up each referenced article.
  2. Cover Extraction: It inspects each issue article's PublicationIssueInfobox to locate its primary CoverImage.
  3. Linked Thumbnail: Each cover is rendered in a responsive CSS grid, linking directly to the respective issue page (/{culture}/{issue-slug}).
  4. Fallback Handling: If an issue article is missing a cover image, a default cover placeholder is displayed.

Tip

The Cover Grid is commonly placed on publication franchise pages (e.g. /wired-franchise) to showcase chronologically ordered issues in a series.
